Inaugural speech Maaike
On Friday the 8th of April Maaike gave her inaugural speech at the Technische Universiteit Delft. Where she very much enjoyed the event together with her family, friends and colleagues.

In her speech, she explained that digital technologies such as remote patient management systems represent a big opportunity when it comes to the transformation of health and care. They offer great potential in relation to prevention, diagnosis, and treatment as well as a reduction of the burden on staff. And they contribute to better health outcomes and efficiencies in the system as a whole. She also explained what design brings to the table and the role of my research in equipping others to design for a connected healthcare system.
