Systemic Design Talk | Josina Vink
In is talk on service ecosystem design will challenge the fundamental assumptions of design to build a more systemic understanding of the practice. Drawing from examples of Experio Lab, a group working with design in the Swedish healthcare system, this talk will present an alternative framework for designing within complex social systems. The focus of the framework is on intentionally shaping social structures – shared and entrenched norms, rules, roles, values and beliefs – to cultivate systems transformation. A collection of practical designerly approaches for attending to social structures will be introduced to inform a more mindful and influential systemic design practice.
