Improving the consistency of external breast prostheses with voxel-based 3D printing

Feb 2023 - ongoing

MSc student Yuka Reinoso Hayashi harnessed voxel-based multi-material 3D printing to craft external breast prostheses that mimic natural tissue touch. For achieving the desired tactile similarity to human tissue, this project explored various 3D microstructures composed of multiple materials, including gels and liquids.
