Safety and security in the Wens ambulance

As part of the interior redesign, ChenYi Shao developed a safety belt system that combines functional safety with the desired experience of security and cosines.
The ‘Wens ambulance’ allows people who are terminally ill to go on a trip to fulfill a (last) wish that is meaningful to them, such as seeing a grandchild getting married, visiting the sea, seeing one’s home one last time, and so on. Because of the frailty of the patients, the organization uses an ambulance, to ensure their security. However, such ambulances are designed for efficiency and security, the interior and the equipment do not fit the atmosphere of a sentimental journey.
