Talking about care in End of Life
ongoing
With ‘Met mijn ogen’, Lana Klok developed a tool that allows elderly to express their ‘desired quality of life’, by creating a value-based portrait of themselves.
The quality of life in end of life is dependent on the way one actually prepares oneself for life’s final stage. Also, when one does not anticipate, healthcare decisions may not be in line with one’s values. However, discussing the topic, with care givers as well as with relatives and friends, is difficult. The ‘Met mijn ogen’ portrait is used as a basis to make care decisions together.
