Smallholder farmers are the backbone of Europe’s food security, yet they face growing economic, ecological, and social challenges. This graduation project aims to design a modular, scalable robotic system that enables the gradual adoption of precision agriculture technologies (PATs), helping to mitigate these pressures and enhance sustainability.

In this IPD graduation research, a robot assistant was developed to collaborate with professional painters to ease their workload. The robot's desired functionalities, interaction and aesthetics were determined through observations, interviews, and a user study using a full-scale prototype.
