Justice systems worldwide are being reshaped by technology. Design offers creative, participatory, and speculative ways to navigate these changes. In turn, design evolves by continually interrogating its relation to social structures, norms, and institutions, revealing its potential to foster greater justice and freedom. Yet law and design students, researchers, and practitioners rarely engage with one another’s disciplines. The Justice by Design Lab addresses this gap by exploring the intersection of technology, law, and design—unlocking new opportunities for collaboration and transformative impact.
