Lab Well Represented at European meeting – Europe at a Crossroads: Shaping the Arrival of Autonomous Vehicles

During the European meeting ‘Europe at a crossroads: Shaping the arrival of autonomous vehicles’ organised by CleanCities and T&E in Brussels, our own Nicole van Nes and Gerbera Vledder represented the lab and the university.

With industry being represented by Uber, Bolt, Verne, and Waymo, and several authorities represented from the Paris metropolitan area and the city of Hamburg, the meeting gave great insights into what is on their minds at this moment. It was great to see some of the topics we are working on being discussed by these stakeholders as well. Including the potential of AVs in rural areas and the intention to collaborate with public transport.

With Waymo being introduced in London this year, let’s see what other european places will follow next with large-scale autonomous vehicles implementation.
