As its name suggests, the CollectieVenster is a literal and figurative window into the collections of the National Library of the Netherlands. It is projected outside of the library building where passersby can quickly and playfully explore books, documents and images held in the library. It is an experiment in allowing people to navigate using body movements such as waves to find collections they find meaningful and to communicate with the library. CollectieVenster builds on the Reflect concept developed by Blanca Martin Fernández, Eva Le Navenec, Flore Paumen, Juliët Wagemakers, Thomas Sjerps and Lin Zhou during the Interactive Environments course in the faculty of Industrial Design Engineering at TU Delft (see project here). CollectieVenster has been generously funded by a grant from ClickNL (see description here).
